Yesterday we toured ABWE and then spent the day in Hershey, PA at Chocolate World! (pics are up under the "My Pictures" link) We saw a very cool 3-D production about chocolate and we had a chocolate tasting experience. We learned how to distinguish different kinds of chocolate by the color, sound (when you snap it in half) and taste. Starting from milk chocolate all the way to 65% dark chocolate (which I love!). It was interesting. And at the end we all got a free big hershey bar!! Then we took a little tour of how chocolate is made and got free chocolate there, too! Then we took a trolley ride around the city of Hershey and got free chocolate there, too! It was a "sweet" day. :-)
Today we went to Lancaster, PA to the Sight & Sound Theatre to see a production called "In the Beginning". It was very cool and very powerful. So tomorrow we're going back to see a different production titled "Abraham & Sarah". I can't wait to see it!
This afternoon/evening we drove around Lancaster and saw plenty of Amish and did some shopping before taking a buggy ride/tour through the Amish farmlands. I got to sit up front with the driver. It was a pretty cool time to talk to the driver and get some history of the Amish and their way of life.
