805 River Cabin
Last weekend I spent the weekend camping with three friends. We were at this cabin down in a valley...alongside a river...in the middle of nowhere near Coon Rapids, Iowa. The cabin had no electricity or heat or indoor plumbing. But, oh my word....it was absolutely beautiful there!! And absolutely dark when the sun went down! Each night we had a perfectly framed view of the Big Dipper...centered in the clearing of trees just above the horizon...and on Saturday night we saw two shooting stars! We had a great time sitting around the campfire and exploring the woods around the cabin on our 5-mile hike on Saturday. On our hike we saw horses, frogs, caterpillars, a snake and what we thought was a hawk...turned out to be dead part of a tree. It was a great weekend to relax with good friends and make some amazing memories! Click below for some pics....

Our three night stay at the Woodruff Inns, (Luray, VA) was all I had hoped for. This place was more than we could ever imagine. No complaints and many compliments on the room. For couples planning to have nice vacation / honeymoon in VA, USA, I would highly recommend Woodruff Inns.
