It was an exciting day at our house yesterday! My brother, Dan, returned to the United States safe and sound after his one year deployment to the Persian Gulf. Jill left yesterday morning to fly out to San Diego to meet his plane and spend his 4-day leave with him before he has to begin his medical processing to be released home. My nephews and I spent the day with her parents and my parents joined us later in the day.

Lucas and Tyler on the Giant Slide at the carnival in Urbandale...they each went home with a big, rubber ball. (sorry Jill!)
We ended the day with a cookout at Jill's parents and fireworks...
