I think it makes since. in fact it is what is missing in most bible study today. noone want to entertain another possibility then the one they accepted already. just because you entertian the possibilty does not mean you have accepted it. it only means you have considered it's possibility and weighed it in the balance. by doing this you will either strengthen what you already accept. or learn to accept something else.
