Happy Apples...

Last Sunday my brother and his family went to the Happy Apple Orchard in Cumming to pick apples. I wasn't able to join them but I have enjoyed their bounty this week! Tonight we dusted off the Pampered Chef Apple Peeler/Corer/Slicer, cleared the cupboards of the baking ingredients and bowls and set forth on a journey I love. Mostly because I love what's at the end! We spent the evening, with Jill's mom, putting together several pans of apple crisp and several apple pies. The first of the apple crisps went right into the oven and is now sitting next to the tub of ice cream just waiting for us to dig in! Here are some pictures of our adventure...

...now, if you'll excuse me, I need to go. My mouth is watering!!

POG and Starfield

Just wanted to tell you about a couple recent concerts I experienced...

Recently I went to see Point of Grace in concert. I haven't seen them in awhile and it was a very refreshing concert. I love their harmonies and it was the kind of concert where you just get to sit and enjoy it. Here are a couple pics...

The guy on the end in this pic is Michael Passons. Formerly of Avalon and now on his own. Amazing vocalist!

Just about a week later SoulFire had our last "official" concert as we opened for Starfield at our home church. I don't have any pics of the actual concert as I was playing but I do have one of Starfield and SoulFire after it was all over...

Can you tell who are the "real" rock stars?! It was SO much fun to hang out with them and experience that "level" of concert at least once in the history of our little band. And what a way to go out...

Eating right...

Yesterday I went to the doctor for my yearly physical. My blood pressure was high, my cholesterol was high, I'd gained some weight, and I didn't feel so hot. My doctor said eating right doesn't have to be complicated and it would solve my physical problems. He said just think in colors...
Fill your plate with bright colors... greens, yellows, reds, etc. I went right home and ate an entire bowl of:

And sure enough, I felt better immediately! I never knew eating right could be so easy…
